The Great Khali's Feud with Kane
The Great Khali's feud with Kane
What happened was that one night on RAW (I cant remember which off the top of my head), The Great Khali went to Jonathan Coachman and told him (on camera) "I want some competition" (in English), to which Jonathan replied "Did you say, that you want better competition?" Khali replied with a "Yes" and then walked away. Ron "Faarooq" Simmons came out from behind Coachman's back, visibly awed by The Great Khali's structure, and said "Damn".
The next Smackdown night on 23rd February, Kane was having a money in the bank qualifying match with King Booker, The Great Khali interfered and destroyed Kane by headbutting and putting him through the barricades, this caused Kane to lose the match to King Booker, which resulted him losing a chance to compete at the money in the bank ladder match.
The next week Khali took up the masterlock challange, but Chris Masters' hands fell short to lock the Masterlock in because Khali is just too big (With a chest 63 Inches Broad). However Kane interrupted and destroyed Chris Masters with a steel chair and clotheslined Khali over the top rope, however Khali recovered on the spot and stood up taunting Kane.

The Great Khali destroying Kane
Next week on RAW at 5th March, Ric Flair and Carlito were having a match for the Money in the bank qualifier in which Khali interfered and destroyed both of the people and shouted on the Microphone "I want Kane" (once again, in English), and then threw away the microphone.
Afterwards, On SmackDOWN! next week at March 9th, Kane had a match with Batista which he lost, Khali attacked him backstage brutally when Kane was being interviewed. The Great Khali headbutted Kane until Kane started bleeding. Khali was then scheduled to have a match against Kane at Wrestlemania
March 12th at RAW, Jeff Hardy was scheduled to have a match against Edge, but Edge backed out of the match when he came out to the ring dressed in street clothes and said he wasn't going to take part. So Khali came into the ring and the match started, but then all of a sudden, Kane came with his See-No-Evil meat hook, and everyone got out of the scene. Kane then demonstrated the effect of his meat hook by ripping apart the announce table.
Two weeks later at RAW, The Great Khali was having a match with The NatureBoy Ric Flair, Khali had beaten up Ric until Ric was all groggy and had gone into the state of half-consciousness. The Great Khali was then going to destroy Ric Flair totally when Carlito Cool interfered (at this point of time the match was awarded to The Great Khali by disqualification) and started hitting Khali, but Khali destroyed Carlito and Choke-Slammed him outside the ring, in the meanwhile Ric Flair had got out already. Suddenly Kane appeared and brawled with Khali for a bit, and then got his meat hook, but before Kane could use the meat hook as a weapon, Khali went out of the ring.
On 30th March at SmackDOWN! Edge and Matt Hardy had a brief verbal war, and Edge told Matt Hardy that he was going to wrestle The Great Khali on that night, saying that Matt's Brother knew him very well. The Great Khali then proceeded to wrestle Matt, and destroyed him, Edge was looking on from the ringside, but then suddenly, Kane's pyrotechnics exploded and his theme music started playing. The Great Khali went looking for Kane, and Kane appeared on the Titantron and said "TWO MORE DAYS.. HAAHAHHAHA", referring to his Wrestlemania match against Khali at Wrestlemania two days later.

The Great Khali's Wrestlemania Match against Kane
The Great Khali's match with Kane was dubbed as an interpromotional grudge match, since Kane was from SmackDOWN and Khali was from RAW! and they had a grudge against each other. This match was scheduled for one fall.
The Great Khali started with empowering Kane and raising his arms in the sky doing his "stronger than you" taunt as a display of power, but then after some time of taking the beating, Kane came back into the match when gave Khali some corner clotheslines.
Kane then went on the top rope and gave Khali a flying clothesline which made Khali lose his balance, but Khali didn't fall, but he was then caught between the ropes, this was when Kane came out with the Hooked Chain and tried to hit Khali with it, but Khali smashed him with a right hand after he came out of the ropes.
But then Kane successfully hit Khali with the Chain in the groin area, and the crowd started cheering him, he then body slammed Khali (Similar to the way Hulk Hogan slammed Andre the Giant back at Wrestlemania 3) but still was unable to pin Khali, Khali then stood up and the both men then landed punches on each other while still standing, but this standing brawl was ended with Khali giving Kane a two-handed chokeslam.
Kane was knocked out, Khali then placed his boot on Kane's chest and pinned him to win the match, after winning, Khali strangled Kane with the hooked chain and left the ring with Kane knocked out cold.
Bottomline: The Great Khali won his first Wrestlemania match against Kane at Wrestlemania 23 on the 1st of April in Detroit, Michigan in Six minutes by Pinfall even after Kane using a weapon (The Hooked Chain).
